First off, beta 2 is pretty much done now. There are a few loose ends to tie up before we release it publicly, and it will be given to the beta testers tomorrow if all goes well. The install, upgrade and uninstall scripts are all working flawlessly so far. Even the newly built template editor is working great.
I don't think I've talked about the template editor front-end yet... It does a few things. It logs any template edits that encountered any errors and shows them on the (template editor) homepage. You can select them and either remove the log records, or generate instructions explaining how to perform them yourself. The main purpose of it is to be able to manually (generate HTML instructions) or automatically edit any of the template edits. It is even flexible enough for you to add edits to it for vBlogetin integration or expansion plugins. For those of you with 15 styles, or even one crazy style - this is for you!
Onto beta 3 now... It seems SEO (static links, specifically) is what most of you expect from a blog. That full-blown integration we promised you for 1.1, well we are going to do it now. I've worked out all the catches, and I've found the way to do it. Our primary offer will be integration with vbSEO, but for those of you without it, we will have another (much simpler) way. Other than this, the feature set for 1.0 is nearly frozen.
We should have beta 2 out within a few days.
